Majek, Odueyigbo Jokotex, Others Confirmed Picking APC Nomination Forms

 The last three days witnessed many aspirants take the biggest political decisions of their lives as they were confronted with the party’s decision and personal stance.

This has made the build up to the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary and the local government elections more intriguing and tense. It also follows that the coming days would be filled with more drama and intrigues as the daring aspirants prepare for the main party screening and primary that would determine.

Following the reports on collection of the party’s nomination forms during the week by aspirants across the six councils in Ikorodu Division, more aspirants have confirmed to THE IMPACT that they are serious contenders.

In Ikorodu North LCDA, it was gathered that Prince Adefoyin Jokotex has also picked and submitted his party’s nomination form. He was first to pick the form alongside Otunba Tijani Olasunkanmi, who was also vying for the Ikorodu North LCDA chairmanship position. Another aspirant that confirmed to our reporter that he has obtained the form is Mr Sesan Odueyogbo, a former Supervisor, Ikorodu North LCDA.

In Ikorodu Local Government (Ikorodu Central) Mr Azeez Lamina confirmed to our reporter early today that he actually picked the form on Thursday and submitted it the same day.

In the same vein, Mr Yinka Majekodunmi popularly called ‘Majek’ in a message to THE IMPACT, also confirmed that he purchased the party’s nomination form and submitted the same to the party secretariat.

His message on Instagram announcing that he has obtained the form reads:

“ASPIRATION SOLIDIFIED: MAJEK FOR A SUSTAINABLE IKORODU LG

With a deep sense of duty, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve purchased the nomination form to contest for the 2025 Ikorodu Local Government Chairmanship election. I’m grateful to my loyal supporters for their backing.”

In Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Pastor Abayomi Adelakun, former Chairman, Central Development Committee (CDC), Igogbo/Bayeku LCDA, has also been confirmed.

THE IMPACT was informed reliably that most of the aspirants across the Division beat the deadline yesterday to submit their forms after securing necessary signatures from the party leaders.
